About Us

King Tutoring’s story begins in 1988. That year, at the going rate of $6.00 per session, Kat King began tutoring a friend’s son in math. Her twin sister, Margaret, soon came on board. Over the next three decades, the twins became Oxford and Ole Miss’s go-to tutors.

In 2020, as the Covid-19 pandemic unfolded, King Tutoring became what it is today: a team of Oxford’s most knowledgeable, effective tutors. Together, King Tutoring’s group of subject experts cover over 200 subjects—from elementary reading to organic chemistry—both in-person and online. 

Meghan Feltenstein, a local entrepreneur and former community college educator, became King Tutoring’s owner in 2023. As King Tutoring’s team and services continue to grow, their top priority—student success—and mission—simplifying complex concepts to build confidence that lasts—remain the same.
